Imagine this. You flew all the way to Bangkok to do user testing, but 12 hours before the user test, your teammate in charge of deployment said they still haven't been able to deploy it yet. same story. We had prematurely optimized our backend by using a microservice architecture to look cool and were having difficulties deploying it in time. Luckily, with the help of a certain framework, I was able to refactor the microservices written by 5 different developers back into a monolith in under an hour and managed to deploy our backend in time for the user testing the next day.
