Ad/tracker blockers are very common, especially among our more technical audience.

We can maybe use Matomo for server-side analytics: https://pypi.org/project/django-matomo-api-tracking/ https://gitlab.com/burke-software/django-server-side-matomo

Alternatively (or additionally), each application can track relevant statistics (e.g. Credere has various statistics, CoVE has simple 90-day statistics, and the data registry could start tracking downloads).
