Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

Currently it's not possible to silence a trigger/alert or disable a monitor temporarily. This functionality would be useful when you're aware of a problem, the application keeps logging errors, but you don't want to be alerted constantly. Some external pager services have this option, but when you for example alert to email or Slack, this is not possible.

It is possible to disable monitors completely, but I have to remember to enable it again. This is risky, it will go wrong some time and you're missing alerts in that case.

Describe the solution you'd like

Either:

  • Silence a trigger/alert for X minutes/hours/days
  • Temporarily disable a monitor for X minutes/hours/days after which it gets automatically enabled again

Describe alternatives you've considered

Use external pager service. But I'd also like to alert events to Slack and I haven't found a solution for Slack.
