Extension of existing component
What is the existing component, if any?
Any chart!

Describe the feature
I haven't seen if there is, but I would like the design guidelines for charts tell us where to display units in the chart.
I brought it up to OpenShift observability team and it seems like OpenShift charts show

Examples - Skupper - Apache Kafka
Don't know if its 100% the place to go, im basing it of the consistency across the products.

Maybe its obvious but I was honestly overthinking my options here:

with these options

  • on y-axis
  • as part of the legend
  • only in tooltip
  • or next to title CPU (mcore)
