DSM version: 7.0

The vast majority of 4K movies can not run, as shown in the figure
Does DSM920 + not support 4K transcoding

From the Spreadsheet from plex: The DS920+

  • Supports decoding 2160p H.264 SDR (8-bit - Main - bt709 colorspace)
    Encoding is limited to 1080p output
  • Supports decoding 4K HEVC (H.265) & 4K H.264 SDR (8-bit)
    Encoding is limited to 1080p output

Can you look at transcode log files? Thanks

It's also possible that the client doesn't have support: https://jellyfin.org/docs/general/clients/codec-support.html

You can also change the playback settings to see if you can use "Direct Play"
