Fatal issue has happened. My heart was broken due to this project closure... #120
Comments
At least this branch builds with rust stable: #118 (comment) |
I don't see any activity from @rabite0 on Github since May 2020. I hope everything is OK. |
But there is hope: https://github.com/kamiyaa/joshuto |
Seems a bit behind hunter... |
Oh man, I hope all is ok with @rabite0 if you need a new maintainer, let me know. I'm happy to take it on. |
Here is a maintained fork: https://github.com/albsen/hunter |
My heart was broken and there is no one who can fix this. I just found Hunter about a couple of days ago and was very inspired by its description. But where my compilation wad failed and when I'd been leaving issue report I noticed that there was no commits about a year. From what I can conclude that project is dead..
So for now there is still no acceptable solution for the tui file manager that just works with most of terminals support enabling simple features. I'm sorry, it's only my opinion, but Ranger is crappy, it doesn't support things like image\video preview for my Alacritty terminal and its icon implementation is buggy!! So as result it looks pretty poor for me and has no any remarkable perfomance that makes its using completly pointless.
SO I got very dissapointed when it apeared that such a developed alternative solution was abandoned..
But may be I'm wrong about it and I hope that I am. Maybe it was just frozed due to pandemy and all things.. Please give some feedback if there is any hope of further continuing this project or you need some kind of help. And I think there are a lot of people including ones knowing Rust that also don't want to let this project die!
