Last time we ran make check with go1.21 and it was successful. But go1.22 seems to be unhappy with the current golangci-lint version. Adding some reference issues:

• signal SIGSEGV: segmentation violation code=0x1 addr=0x0 pc=0x88866c golangci/golangci-lint#500
• Running error: can't run linter goanalysis_metalinter golangci/golangci-lint#4482
• shift: package "util": invalid memory address or nil pointer dereference golangci/golangci-lint#4793

From my understanding root cause might be golang/go#31163. To be frank I don't know why this has become a problem with go1.22 🤷🏻‍♂️ .
