In the file config/_arch-n-opsys (and the generated file bin/.arch-n-opsys) the line ~ ~ 10*) OPSYS=darwin; HEAP_OPSYS=darwin ;; # MacOS X 10.6 ~ ~ needs to be inserted after line 65. This adds a case under darwin/x86 for Snow Leopard, for which uname -r returns "10.0.0".

... and exits.
This same binary worked under OS X 10.5
