It would be nice if snes9x had the ability to choose a multiplier of resolutions like duckstation has:
Untitled

Plus another enhancements like Anti-Aliasing/Anisotropic Filtering/FXAA/etc, etc.

The video filter option already has Simple1x to Simple4x options. Anti-Aliasing etc. only make sense for 3d games.

Tried simple 4x and it didnt make the gfx look nicer. :/

There's no rasterization involved with the original hardware. That means no line drawing or polygons or anything. The game artists drew everything by plotting pixels. Even the 3D stuff like SuperFX was done entirely in software, so you can't just enhance the drawing hardware, you'd have to rewrite the entire game.
