Model Repository

The model repository module provides a collection of mathematical models relevant to the context of biological processes. Models are represented as a set of differential equations linked to entities and rules in BCS. Such mapping serves for easier determination of model overlaps and connections with each other, concluding in more clarity of their biological meaning. The module provides an interface for export to SBML documents. Interlinking between Models and BCS comprises each model component mapping to an entity in BCS and each model corresponding to a BCS rule. Furthermore, data sets are provided to simulate a model in a biological context. A significant part of the database responsible for portal data storage is dedicated to models.
