I've encountered an issue in my project where the variable $selected_date is not updating as expected. This variable can be changed by user input from a form field, but sometimes it fails to update even when a new value is selected.

If we change the shipping method to something else and then switch it back to 'Tapsi Delivery,' the issue gets resolved.
