Provide way to print dictionary version of default settings for file

Currently, the documentation isn't totally clear on customising the setups. Often, the defaults are almost enough, but need a little modification. It would make things much easier for us to be given the current values, so we can copy and modify that instead of recreating most of it from scratch.
