As the title states ... I have created MyTrash and MyInbox folders, used the Flags properties to set them as Trash and Inbox folders, I used the Flags properties to remove any special flags from the original Trash and Inbox folders, then removed them. Everything looked as I wanted. I shut down TB and started it again ... MyTrash and MyInbox were still there, with their Flags, but new Trash and Inbox folders were created and given their special flags.

Note that I used these names for simplicity, as my TB has its interface language in French.

I haven't left this message on the TB's add-on page because I don't have a TB account (and I don't want one, for now at least).

Sorry, I didn't find out about bug 197228 until after I described the issue.

I found a "brute force" fix:
The scenario starts the same way, I create MyTrash with the Trash flag and MyInbox with the Inbox flag, then remove the Trash flag from Trash and the Inbox flag from Inbox. BUT I DON'T DELETE THEM. I exit TB, go into the the account's mail folder, select Inbox, Inbox.msf, Trash and Trash.msf and I SET THEIR HIDDEN ATTRIBUTE. Now they are not re-created and are not shown.

This would probably work with any "special" folders (until the TB guys do something about it) ... I didn't test that, being too busy with my happy dance.

Bugger ... my happy dance stopped cold.
If I delete something (message or folder), it properly gets moved into MyTrash. But when I empty this trash folder, the folder itself gets deleted as well! I don't know if it matters, but if, in the same session, I create MyTrash again, it automatically gets the Trash flag.

Would this, by any chance, be a problem easier to solve than renaming Inbox and Trash?
