Rename contacts locally.

Like so many others have requested before, make us able to rename contacts locally! It’s impossible to keep track of all the contacts when you can’t give them a name and have to memorize their Username!

How hard can it be? Can you give us an answer why you won’t add this feature at least?

The lack of this feature is one of the best things about Wire!

What you're requesting is terrible for privacy reasons - if people wanted their real names displayed they would've used them instead of an username.
Even if it's just local - this is still a problem because it's full of people who are sending screenshots of their contacts list to others or even worse - uploading them to public hostings.

If this is ever implemented many people will stop using Wire unless it's opt-in only - it should be an option that is turned off by default and each user should decide whether to allow others to rename them.
