No javadoc comments

Hello,

would you mind if I add javadoc comments to (some of) the code?
As someone not familiar with the code, even small javadoc comments can go a long way. Especially when coming back after some time.
I'm asking this since you haven't merged any PRs since almost a year and I'm unsure whether you have the will and time to do that in the future 😛
