Computational Biology 10 bees

This wiki may be outdated, updated info on progress here

Main idea:

  • Explain the model
    • tell the story - how to extract individual behaviour from the behaviour of collective
  • Model selection
    • obtain rational functions
    • show how to apply different methods for the default model (new bees, synch, agnostic)
    • Scalability of the refinement forces us to deal with parameter space explosion.
    • Hence 2 candidate “sub”-models: linear and sigmoidal
    • Data encoding as the data are sparse
    • Compare the results of optimisation and MH among default and submodels
  • Application for 10 bees

Done

check the second project

To Do:

  • write backbone/draft @matej
  • various issues written in the draft shared with the second project

Future work

Supplementary material

  • demonstrate that with the linear or sigmoidal model one can see various distribution which can not be drawn from simple distributions
