The blade.php instructions are the same, it's just that I use lua instead of vim commands. I will add the sql injection stuff I got to work today next week as that's on my work computer. Gotta get a pull request in for nvim-treesitter at some point so we can just do TSInstall blade without the manual setup. |

I just figured that sql is probably not in your blade files, but maybe this helps you guys anyway since it's also php and all. This injection makes it so that sql that's within the insert statement is highlighted as sql.

Hey, @yaegassy and @calebdw ! I've set up the blade filetype and created the queries ( similar as yaegassy ) as you guys posted. But now only the blade directives from the blade parser are being highlighted and the html ( marked as a php node ) isn't. Should I change any configuration of the php parser for it to attach to the blade files too? I'm not pretty sure of what to do. |

Hello, I'm facing similar issue, but I don't know on making html and php parser to attach blade files, I know this is nubby question, but I'm still new at configure Neovim. I'm using kickstart.nvim as a base configuration I follow instruction, and found out that this is causing an error, and I'm not sure what to do or did I miss something |

Hi @UnknownRori @vivere-dally you can get the html injection working using the stubs here in the queries folder. This discussion was created very early on and there has been some name changes for technical reasons. Most of the other instructions should work fine! 👍 There is also a guide in the README ((php) @injection.content

I'm encountering an issue while attempting to integrate Treesitter for Blade syntax highlighting in my project. Hi! I had been using tree-sitter-blade successfully for a few months. I recently switched from packer to lazy and am having troubles getting it configured. I am successfully getting neovim to recognize .blade.php files as 'blade' files, and after running I have my blade filetype set in my my my my I'm not sure if I'm missing something or have something configured improperly. |

@samgurung sorry for the late reply. Looks like @calebdw has you covered. My config is on a Mac machine so if it’s working on Mac for you I unfortunately don’t have much advice apart from what Caleb has already stated. Hopefully moving your queries directory out of the after directory and into the root directory helps. |

So turn out that's a parsing error in html---tag names are not allowed to have The There's really nothing to do on the html grammar end... we might could rewrite the blade grammar to extend from the html grammar, and then we could allow this without having to repeat all of the html rules (there would be other benefits to this as well, such as packaging injection queries for AlpineJS, and the Blade JS/PHP attributes). |

That will probably solve the issue with comment shortcuts provided by the editors as well which was discussed below, whereby HTML comments are triggered instead of blade. I have created an issue #62 for this as well. |

Can't really say without knowing what plugin you're using under the hood. You might have to configure the comment type for blade files. If you're using treesitter based commenting then most of the time you're going to be in an html node and it will use an html comment. |

@ahmedsayedabdelsalam I had the same problem with Nova, so for the extension I created an alternate shortcut/snippet as a workaround for time being. I would actually like to know if this is the same case with NeoVim? The toggle works on an empty document, but once you are in the "html injected" region, it will do HTMl comment, which in all honesty, makes sense. Seems like an intended side effect! |

Mmm I am not a NeoVim user myself but here are the alternatives I went for, for the Nova Extension. I just didn't know what would be the best alternative so just added support for three options lol 🤷♂️ Hopefully the editor devs can come up with a solution, because tbh it is not the problem with the tree-sitter. Surely it would be possible to override the behaviour. Like prioritisation etc, for a specific syntax. You might be able to override the actual normal shortcut in NeoVim for |

At the moment, indents are only possible in Nova (might not be the case with their new release), but planning to see if I can rewrite the grammar so that all other editors can take advantage as well, initial assessment proved it a bit trickier than I anticipated! However feel free to subscribe to #48 ! |

Hi, any one having this issue? It only shows the error when open any blade file from other php files. After some checking, seems like something to deal with lsp, phpactor. Once the phpactor lsp initiated, it started to complain highlight error. So if anyone also having this issue, here is an easy quick fix: -- your lsp setting file, mine lsp.lua

It was a silly mistake while I refactoring my config. I passed opt instead of opts to treesitter. I guess tree-sitter-blade doesn't work with nvim treesitter with default opts like other langs? Anyway thank cablebdw for the suggestion. It made me look at treesitter config again. |

I created this discussion topic to share information on using tree-sitter-blade in Neovim (nvim-treesitter). I hope that the number of tree-sitter-blade users will increase, and that better feedback, pull requests, etc. will increase.
Installation of nvim-treesitter and addition of settings for tree-sitter-blade
First, please install nvim-treesitter. For more information, please click here. https://github.com/nvim-treesitter/nvim-treesitter
Add settings for tree-sitter-blade to init.vim
Install tree-sitter-blade. Execute
:TSInstall blade.Add queries file
Add queries files for highlighting, etc. queries files for blade are not currently bundled with nvim-treesitter and must be added manually.
Query file for highlights
Execute the following command. A file will be created in
~/.config/nvim/after/queries/blade/highlights.scm.:TSEditQuery highlights blade.Please write the following settings. The settings are examples only.
