Note Modes

Pressing the lower circular drum pad opens a menu to select from various note input modes. Pressing one of the illuminated drum pads launches the corresponding note mode. Currently, the available note modes are as follows:

  • Default. The default note input mode.

  • Scale Mode [Yellow]. Snaps notes to the closest note in a scale.

  • Chord Mode [Teal]. Turns individual notes into full chords, with a small amount of randomness to spice things up.

  • Omni Mode [Purple]. Maps the drum pads and notes to channels on the channel rack. Drum pads can be used to trigger the first 16 channels. Notes trigger channels as per FL Studio's default Omni Mode. Note that in order for this to work, you must set FL Studio's Omni preview channel to 14.

  • Randomiser [Pink]. Allows you to set sets of notes to be randomly chosen from. Every time you play a note, it will be mapped to a random note from the currently selected set. The orange (disabled) / blue (enabled) light in the top right indeicates whether the current set will advance at the beginning of each bar, which is useful for freeing up your hands. The set can also be advanced by using a pedal.

  • Unassigned [Light Blue]. Prevents any actions from being taken on most events. Allows controls to be linked to plugin parameters without conflicts. It is recommended to remove all user-created links before exiting this mode.

The colour of the lower circular drum pad changes to represent information about the active note mode.
