linuxmint/hypnotix@4.3...4.4 only contains a mpv-0.38-only fix and linuxmint/hypnotix@4.4...4.5 only contains translations. mpv 0.38 #304349 is not in 24.05 so I don't think "lots of issues" will be addressed in the updates.
