This website was built for Fliesenfachbetrieb Müller, a small company from Berlin that specializes in interior design, tiling, sanitary, and drywall construction. The website was created using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with the React framework and SASS for styling. To enhance the user experience, the website utilizes intersection observer, router, and swiper packages.
I handle the contact form on the website using Firebase Firestore as the backend. Firebase Functions are used to send a copy of the form data to both the business owner and the customer. The contact form is protected by reCAPTCHA to prevent spam submissions.
To run the website locally, you'll need Node.js and npm installed on your machine. Please note, while the website can be run locally, the contact form and other Firebase-dependent features require your own Firebase configuration and credentials. Clone the repository and run the following command to install the required dependencies:
npm install
Then, run the following command to start the development server:
npm start
The website should now be running at http://localhost:3000.
Although the backend services use Firebase, the website is deployed on Strato web hosting.
