We are interested in the voltage value at the apex. Not in just detecting that a particle has been detected.
Probably we need 12 bit definition. For sure 6 bits is not enough.
If needed we can test 10 or 8 bits definition. It would be better to avoid lowering the resolution.
It's not clear if we need it or not. It depends on what analysis the science team wants to do later. Probably we are just interested in the average of particles detected per second.
