@bricelam if it appears the hangs occur while testing, you may want to talk to @anurse or @JunTaoLuo about enabling xUnit's "yell if a test is taking a long time" feature.

Otherwise, have a look at the process dumper PowerShell script, how it's started, and how it's stopped. Then, write the Bash equivalent. I believe ps ax -f --width 800 is the core command.

lol, what hangs? There were a lot of CI cancellations as I kept pushing to this branch while diagnosing, but I never saw anything hang...
