Describe the feature:
Sometimes you'd like to remove search history like Chrome's shift + delete (or shift + fn + delete).
It's annoying if you type wrong query and it's suggested later.

I agree, that would be a nice addition. FYI though these autocompletions are just stored in localstorage, so if you're really desperate to clear them out you can simply delete them with your browser's dev tools (or go with the nuclear option and blow away all local data for kibana):

The auto suggested search is extremely annoying, I can work around it by hitting ESC when it suggests the wrong history item (which is always). It would be better if there were a way to disable the auto suggest feature entirely. In no circumstances, do I ever want ENTER to use the first suggested item.

@timander I'm guessing it's super annoying because of this bug: #7801 (comment) which was fixed in 4.5.4. Sorry for the trouble!
