hmm. so like the opposite of the Off Family? like by default kV doesn't enter Normal Mode expect for the apps you're adding to the whitelist?

Correct, since some applications doesn't work well and I only need some application (like TablePlus and other dev tools) to use vim, it would be convenient to have a whitelist mode.

hmm. i can see what you're saying. at the same time i'm not sure why then you would use kV in other apps 😂️ is the problem because kV steals a hotkey, or the escape key, or a sequence?

Yes, like you said kV require double esc to do what esc original does, in some applications I am sure I will never use VIM. For now I just add those applications to OFF. G. @.***>於 2023年12月3日 週日,00:14寫道:

ok just to make sure you're aware and that i understand you correctly: you don't have to use double escape. you can select another way to send escape to macOS (command escape, option escape etc...), or enter Normal Mode with a hotkey or a sequence instead. you can actually do whatever you want with other tools up front like Karabiner-Elements and Hammerspoon :))
