Eudiplozoon nipponicum transcriptome/secretome project

GitHub repository for transcriptome and secretome project of Eudiplozoon nipponicum (Platyhelminthes, Monogenea).

Here we present basic information and sequences (fasta files) related to the transcriptome/secretome project of Eudiplozoon nipponicum. E. nipponicum is a blood-feeding, oviparous, ectoparasite inhabiting gills predominantly of common carp Cyprinus carpio with unique live cycle including the phase when two individual juvenile worms permanently fuse into one sexually immature juvenile stage and stay further together also after development into the stage of adult. E. nipponicum was introduced into Europe from Southeast Asia and started to negatively influenced carps´ populations, especially the semi-intensive carp farming in ponds.
