RisuAI Basics
This page tells you the basic features for the app, and common questions. For other features and more detailed description, see other wiki pages.
RisuAI's Screen can be divided into three parts.
- (A) Character List
- (B) Character Settings Sidebar
- (C) Chatscreen
In this page, we will group Character List and Character Settings Sidebar to describe more easily.
At launch, sidebar might be closed. you can open the sidebar by pressing the arrow button in top left corner, and close it by pressing the X button on top right of the sidebar. If your screen is small, your screen might hide the Chatscreen when sidebar is open.
- If you press the character icon, the character that you are chatting would change to that character. you can drag the character to change order
- Folder is used to group characters. if you press it the content of the folder would be shown. you can create folder by draging the character to another character.
- Click the Add button to add characters. you can import the character, or make a character from scratch.
- Click the submenu button to go to the first screen, access settings or etc.
- Character Settings Sidebar has icon buttons in the top to change page of the settings. in quick start, we will only talk about Basic Character Settings (first page, human icon) and Character Display (smile icon)
- Basic Settings
- Description: Description about the character. AI will print the contents by referring to this.
- First Message: First message of the character.
- Author's Note: A note that highly influences AI's output. use this for the content that you want character to do next, or describe the current situation to make AI work understand the situation better. unlike other settings, Author's Note is embedded into the chat, so it would not be included when character is exported
- Toggle NSFW/Jailbreak: Makes AI to generate NSFW content better. If you turn it on, the AI will drive you to the NSFW scene, so I recommend leaving it on only in the NSFW scene. in some models, it might work less the way it should, or do the worse.
- Character Display
- Character Icon: The chat icon of the Character
- Additional Character Screen: Uses another screen to show the character's image depending to the situation. we won't go in detail in quick start.
- (A) Chat Input
- (B) Send Button: Sends the inputed chat to character
- (C) Chat Menu Button: Opens the chat menu. chat menu is described in chat menu section
- (D) In Message Buttons: described in In Message Buttons section
- Chat List: Opens the character's chat list. you can start a new chat or go back to old chat using this.
- Translate Input: Translates Input to english. this option is only visible when you configured translator
- Auto Suggest: Suggestes user's input.
- Regenerate: Regenerates last response. doesn't work when there is only first message.
- (A) Edit: Edits the message
- (B) Remove: Removes the message
- (C) Translate: Translates message to configured language. this option is only visible when you configured translator
- (D) Swipe: regenerates message or go back before the regeneration.
You can go to global settings by submenu in Character List
- Your Icon: Your Icon that would be displayed in the chat
- Your Name: Your Nickname that would be displayed in the chat
- Model: the AI type that you'll use.
- API Key: the API key for your chat. required for usage.
- How do I get OpenAI API key?
- you can create in here, you have to make a openai api key.
- Error: The minimum required token is greater than max context size
- Your character description is too long, try reducing it.
- Error: You exceeded your current quota, please check your plan and billing details.
- Your OpenAI free usage is exceeded. you have to register your card in openai payment methods
- invalid_api_key
- Your OpenAI key is invaild. you might put wrong api key
