“Partial updates” allows your company to roll out a version of your software for n% users. Also, admins can set a period of time during which it will function and after which the version will be distributed to all users. The n% users is calculated based on active users for a particular period of time (week, month, all the time). If it’s necessary, you can disable a distribution of the version to new users, i.e., those who install your software for the first time and they won’t get the partial updated version.

Partial update settings

  • Percent: sets a percentage of users to which the version will be distributed .

  • Start date: is a commencement of a rolling out.

  • End date: is a date when a partial update ends and the version won't be distributed.

  • Exclude new users: if it has the enabled value, the version will be distributed to only existing users.

  • Audience of active users: A rule sets active users which we’ll roll out the version to.
