There does not appear to be any indication of current lat/lon in iD. This makes it very difficult to compare the current view with other maps.

It is in the URL.. You mean something more prominent in the ui, like that can show for a node?

Yeah, it's shown in the URL. We don't have plans to add lat/lon elsewhere in the UI.
