Version 1.0.x

Sensors

  • Soil moisture
  • Ambient temperature and humidity
  • Battery voltage

Version 1.1.x

This version has an additional light sensor using a photoresistor (aka LDR), introduced in rbaron/b-parasite#6. This table contains a few light measurements.

All other sensors from version 1.0.x are unchanged.

Version 1.2.x

This version substitutes the photoresistor from version 1.1.x for a ALS-PT19 phototransistor. This was done in rbaron/b-parasite#18. The phototransistor has a few advantages over the photoresistor:

  • Surface-mounted, so it can be automatically assembled
  • RoHS compliant

All other sensors from version 1.1.x are unchanged.

Version 2.0.x

In this revision, we have:

  • Two physical push buttons: one for resetting and one that is available to applications
  • Redesigned/simplified moisture sensing circuitry
  • Larger footprint pads for the nRF52 module -- easier to hand solder
  • A geeky silkscreen diagram of an RC circuit. This little duo is the working horse in these capacitive soil moisture sensors

All other sensors from version 1.2.x are unchanged.
