Hello,

I found that, on Emacs 24.1, when editing a source file in rust-mode (0.1.0), with whitespace-mode activated, the syntax highlighting works only erratically, disappearing from the buffer for the most part.

Here it is working as normal:

@bufferunderpants rust-mode has been rewritten and now deals with it correctly, I think. Closing, pipe up if you disagree.
