Weird path from requested url

In the hook.server.js:

export const handle = async ({ event, resolve }) => {
    const url = new URL(event.request.url);
    const path = url.pathname;
});

If the route is 'dashboard', why it gives me /dashboard/__data.json , what is __data.json? When I refresh the page, it gone. Means only first time it will appear.

These request are triggered by client side navigation to get data for the target routes.
By default they will already trigger when hovering a link so the link loads faster when clicked.
