The filament runout sensor is a very popular accessory. Unfortunately, in most cases, it is absolutely useless ! The filament is generally hooked to the spool, and its end will never go through the sensor.
This can be compared to a tangle... The Smart Spool Holder and its accessories will REALLY detect the end of the filament (free or hooked to the spool), and filament tangles. It will also make filament loading/unloading easier, and adds an adjustable X endstop.
Here's a very simple and obvious solution to a complex problem that inspired many overengineered designs.
However, the reinvention of the wheel being my favorite hobby, this concept may already exist. But Google did'nt bring it to me...

- 1x screw M8x45
- 1x washer M8
- 1x screw M6x30, capscrew
- 1x screw M6x25, countersunk
- 1x nut M8, Nylock
- 2x nut M6, Nylock
- 4x screw M3x6
- 4x screw M3x12
- 4x washer M3
- 1x screw M5x6
- 1x hammer nut M5
- 210mm Teflon tubing
- 1200mm 2 wire cable, Dupont female ended
- drillbits : 2mm and 4mm
- 2x KW12-3 microswitch

Le détecteur de fin de filament est un accessoire très populaire. Malheureusement, dans la plupart des cas, il est totalement inutile ! Le filament est généralement crocheté à la bobine, et l'extrémité ne passera jamais dans le détecteur.
Cette situation est comparable à un enchevêtrement... Le "Smart spool Holder" et ses accessoires détectent RELLEMENT la fin du filament (libre ou attachée au rouleau), et les enchevêtrements. Il facilite aussi le chargement / déchargement, et offre une fin de de course ajustable en X.
Voici une solution très simple et évidente à un problème complexe qui a inspiré beaucoup de conceptions bien trop techniques.
Ceci dit, la réinvention de la roue étant mon hobby favori, ce concept existe peut-être déjà. Mais Google ne me l'a pas remonté...
