The First Version of The Wellesley Trail
The Wellesley Trail is a choose your own adventure game in which the player gets to experience the life of a Wellesley Student. Just like real life, their choices will affect their future. To sleep or not to sleep? That is the question.
At the beginning of the game, the player will have a choice of which archetypal character they would like to play as. Each character has different preloaded points for the sleep, smart, and social categories. Regardless of the character they choose, the player will start with their extra character points added to 5 sleep, 5 smart, and 5 social points.
In the game, the player will be prompted with different situations in which they will have to choose what decision to make in response. Each situation leads to another situation which can add to or decrease the player’s points. When making choices, the player should take care that none of their points fall below 0. If that happens they could be killed, or worse, expelled. Their objective is to make it to graduation. Good luck and happy trails!
