Archive records in APE EAD format

The APE EAD format has the the same basic structure as National Archives EAD, this page primarily addresses the differences.

The actual reference code is SE/ULA/10012/A I/1, the blank space is omitted in the element text content. Note also that the attributes mainagencycode and identifier have a strict definition in the XML schema, which means that the "/" in the National Archives reference codes are replaced by "-" in the value of these attributes. The attribute identifier is present in APE EAD, but not in National Archives EAD.

Links to the search service image display, IIIF manifest and IIIF service can be included in APE EAD, but not in National Archives EAD. Note that the IIIF manifest link is included only if the image has an explicit open license.
